We are a collective of healthcare professionals, students, and lay people committed to helping the underserved achieve better health and healthcare access, and to helping in a variety of other ways to create a more loving and humanitarian world.
Our committee includes teachers, students, lawyers, artists, medical professionals, civil servants, business & marketing gurus, directors of charitable nonprofits, and other volunteers from every walk of life.
Neil Shulman MD has been the acting chair for last year's conference and for the upcoming summit in April. As Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at Emory University for over 30 years, Dr. Shulman was inspired by all the local healthcare professionals who dedicate their time and resources to helping the under-served locally and internationally. After learning of so many inspiring stories just in the Emory vicinity alone, he felt compelled to create a forum for people involved in these uplifting humanitarian efforts to network with and aid each other, as well as inspire others to roll up their sleeves and join in. His hope is that this will become more than an annual event, and snowball into a movement of humanitarian efforts.
Emory University and a host of other schools and organizations have been gracious in their support of this endeavor, and we thank the hundreds of people who have joined in these efforts!
