Many changes to the website have been made. The last Global Health & Humanitarian Summit's information has been nicely organized (in my opinion) into the Past Conferences page. The current home page is an updated version of a home page that was used before the promotion of the last Global Health & Humanitarian Summit.

If anyone ever has any suggestions for the website, don't hesitate to leave a comment.

IMVC.org now has its own mobile website. When you access IMVC.org through your smart phone you will now see a slightly altered website. The purpose of the mobile website is to make accessing IMVC.org on the go more efficient. I'm hoping to make signing in through the mobile website a little easier... but for now the sign in option is available after clicking on more options and then on the members link.

You may have noticed more spam posts on the forum. As the popularity of IMVC.org increases more and more spammers are accessing the website. I will look into ways to block spammers without compromising the ability of anyone to become a member. In the meantime, I will regulary delete the flagged posts and then delete the members that are posting spam.

I'm happy to announce that in the last 90 days, IMVC.org has had over 10,000 visitors and nearly 40,000 clicks. The popularity of the website is greater than it has ever been.

I will continue to update the document downloads page as the information changes, but any new changes will not be reflected in the printed program.

With less than half a month remaining before the Global Health and Humanitarian Summit, the workload on the developmental end has been rapidly increasing. I spent all day today changing the homepage and the way that the main documents for the Summit are accessed. The home page now has a new promotional video created by our volunteers. I think that it gives a very good first impression of the Summit.

I have recently been notified that people have had trouble printing and downloading the documents for the Summit (the list of speakers, the quick program overview, the map, etc.). It appears that the company that I used to host the documents through introduced a fee for downloading... and they do not allow the user to print the document from their website (they told the users that they could print it after they downloaded for a cost). But very interestingly, they still allowed me to download and print without a cost. This was a very sneaky move. I decided to host the documents through the same company that hosts this website (they just recently allowed this option). Although there are pros and cons for both companies, I think that this will be the better option for the majority of people interested in the Summit. After all, if I was visiting Emory's campus for the first time I would definitely want to have a print-out of the map.

In the last 90 days, there have been 6,338 visitors to IMVC.org (and a total of 24,374 clicks). There have been many changes to the website, such as the new, temporary home page. The new home page gives an immediate focus on the upcoming Global Health & Humanitarian Summit.

Activity has increased in all the interactive parts of the website and I'm very happy about that. I expect that activity will increase even more as we get closer to April 1.

The planning committe has been holding meetings at Emory in preparation for the next International Medical Volunteerism Conference. The next conference is tentatively scheduled for April 1, 2, and 3 of 2011.

The second conference will look to surpass the success of the first conference in every way. The plan is for the next conference to be the Global Humanitarian Summit—a parallel conference to the economical summit. The Global Humanitarian Summit will look to expand the reach of the IMVC to all countries of the world.

I used some CSS programming to make certain parts of the website look a little different. Several buttons, the members area, and the search boxes are among the things that have changed. I think that is a better, slightly more polished look.

Hundreds of photos from the conference have been posted. Feel free to save and/or share any of them. I plan to post a video tonight.
