New Mobile Website and Spam

Posted by Marijan Pejic on July 1, 2011 at 5:25 PM

IMVC.org now has its own mobile website. When you access IMVC.org through your smart phone you will now see a slightly altered website. The purpose of the mobile website is to make accessing IMVC.org on the go more efficient. I'm hoping to make signing in through the mobile website a little easier... but for now the sign in option is available after clicking on more options and then on the members link.

You may have noticed more spam posts on the forum. As the popularity of IMVC.org increases more and more spammers are accessing the website. I will look into ways to block spammers without compromising the ability of anyone to become a member. In the meantime, I will regulary delete the flagged posts and then delete the members that are posting spam.

Happy 4th of July weekend!

GHHSummit is the twitter for IMVC/GHHS. Please join. There are many schools who use GHHS. Someone already has IMVC.

Maki, can you see having blogs for future individual summits when they are created? Can you see this website being able to contain/serve 2 or 5 or 100 summits internationally?

Hi Charlotte,

I don't remember if I responded to your post, but I think that this website should be the central one and I wouldn't want to dilute the number of people having discussions. People could have their own blogs and request for their blogs to be featured on the website. For the forum, I plan on just creating another section for each Summit. And yes, I believe that this website is capable of serving multiple Summits (yes, even 100).
