I would figure that I write my AAR (After Action Report) from the conference this year. Let me just say that this was my first large conference where I presented at and it was fun. I have taught for many years in the area of emergency medicine but 20 minutes you can only cover the basics of what you do. But it got some people interested in having me teach a full program in the future. The Emory campus is a wonderful campus. When I was walking around I was helped by the students and staff on finding my around. It also let me meet people from different parts of the world who where attending Emory. I would come back for more conferences at Emory at any time. Opening and Closing Keynote speakers, let me say insprational and to the point. They have a sense of humor and I like that in speakers. They change things up to keep the crowds attetion. The same thing was said between them we need to work together to get things done, no matter the sacrafice. We need to love each other. Connecting is a key role in the GHH Effort. We all have skills that we need to use for the good for the cause. I might be from Alaska but I was able to connect with several organizations where I can do some more good. I might be a full time medical missionary but I was able to assist in what ever needs to be done. If that means putting on a health and safety class before they travel, assisting in equipment needs, fund raising, or going on the trip to use my skills I am up for it. BRING IT ON!!! I am ready for the challenge. We all need to do something. So over all I had a great time and I want to say thank you to the committee for letting me speak. I would like to speak next year also. I am willing to do some hand on classes next year if time permits. But as attending I enjoyed the sessions that were presetned and the different organizations that were present. That is were you make the connections. To my new friends out there keep in touch and God Bless.

Because I was also an organizer, speaker and I had a booth, I did not hear as many people as I wanted to in their sessions. I am almost tempted to just speak next year and be "free" to mingle more. Where is this going to be a movement if we do not promote this in our own states, our own universities, and in our own neck of the woods? What are the other letters for? Are you an MD?

I am a Certified Medical Assistant, Wilderness First Responder, and Tactical First Responder. I have been in emergency services for about 20 years since I was a youth. So I have other certifications in emergency services since then. I am currently on working on my RN.

Laus Deo for His providence, your thanks, and His answering by blessing right now (Lk6:21a). May He allow GHHS 2012 to happen with even more connections and successes. Amen.

2011 GLOBAL HEALTH & HUMANITARIAN SUMMIT I’m thankful to God for the opportunity to share my story of healing at the event. I also met allot of people who are also committed to helping others/making a positive impact on society. Despite my health condition.... ( I experienced three surgeries: heart valve replacement & two pace maker surgeries), I remain committed to sharing my story /giving hope to cardiac patients & their families: Never Give Up: Keep hoping, praying & believing. I look forward to returning to the Summit next year with a group of my friends who are also interested in becoming a volunteer for the event. Sincerely, Mrs. Kimberly A.
