CALL FOR ORAL PAPER PRESENTATIONS.

INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN CONFERENCE 2013 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 28th to 30th November 2013.

The conference will host small and large NGOs from across the Asia, leading academics and humanitarian workers from all over the world. Topics covering the areas of delivering humanitarian assistance during conflicts and disasters, resilience, health and the handling of media and diplomatic issues will be examined. There will be a number of keynote speeches, presentations and workshops bringing together best practice and the latest research.

The theme of the conference is “Sustaining Humanitarian Efforts, Over the Long Haul”.

Key speakers for the conference include Mr. Yves D’accord, Director General of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

CALL for ORAL PAPER PRESENTATIONS. Closing date 30th June 2013. We have sessions open for ORAL PAPER PRESENTATIONS, to encourage the sharing of ideas and experiences in addition to research presentations related to the field of humanitarian studies.

Submit your abstract for Free Paper Presentation. Share your research and experience in the humanitarian field at the upcoming INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN CONFERENCE 2013 will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 28th to 30th November 2013.

The field of humanitarian work and voluntarism is rapidly expanding with many people, especially younger people answering the call to help affected communities, in times of need and crisis.

The Conference is organised by MERCY Malaysia and will see the gathering of partners from leading organisations within the humanitarian sector, to share their extensive knowledge and experience.

There will be strategic panel discussions, workshops conducted for those seeking direct engagement on practical issues on the topics including Fundraising, Logistics, Field Hospitals, Psychological First Aid, Safety and Security; and Media & Humanitarian Diplomacy.

Registration fees: MYR 150 for Students at our local universities MYR 600 for Professionals and Volunteers from Malaysia and Non-OECD countries (developing countries) USD 100 for International Students (non Malaysian Universities) USD 500 for Professionals and Volunteers from OCED countries (developed countries)

The summit  for 2014 is meeting at White Hall room 207 at 6 pm on Sundays. We have one speaker and this lasts for 1 hour.
